Tyrannosaurus (commonly known as T-rex) is the most well-known dinosaur of all time. It also holds multiple zoological records.
LARGEST TERRESTRIAL PREDATOR
Tyrannosaurus was the largest terrestrial (land-dwelling) predator of all time (currently known). While other large carnosaurs (particularly Giganotosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus and Spinosaurus) have been said to be larger, Tyrannosaurus has a much more robust skeleton and build, meaning it was likely significantly heavier than its competitors. In particular, the specimen RSM P2523.8, known as 'Scotty' overtook Sue as the largest T-rex (not to mention largest carnosaur specimen in the fossil record).
STRONGEST BITE FORCE OF A TERRESTRIAL ANIMAL
This one is debatable. Tyrannosaurus is well known for its immensely powerful bite force. Various features of its skull allowed it to exert massive pressure on anything it could chomp on. Purrusaurus competes with Tyrannosaurus for this title, but since I'm partial to the Rex, the Tyrant Lizard King wins this one, too.
MOST POWERFUL TERRESTRIAL PREDATOR
This one almost goes without saying. The sheer size of Tyrannosaurus already gives it an edge, but combined with its ridiculously powerful jaws and neck (the arms are tiny for a reason), no other terrestrial predator rivals this dinosaur.
Anyway, I just built this because... I like dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are great. I especially like Tyrannosaurus, because it was always my favourite as a kid, and I've found facts to back up its credibility in my eyes, so it has stayed as my favourite dinosaur of all time.
