As of 1947, Vapid Motor Company became one of the most prominent car manufacturers in the United States. Its most recent car line at the time, known by the "Sled-series" internal name, consisted of various models - while Vapid Sledgehammer served as the basis and was produced in default Tudor and Fordor bodies, pickup, called Vapid Powersleigh, also gained some recognition amongst car enthusiasts.

For Sled-series, three trims were available: Elemental, Executive and Excelsior.
Elemental - base model, 140-ci V8, simplified rear bumper
Executive - mid-level model, 220-ci V8, radio receiver with antenna, rearview mirror from the driver's side
Excelsior - "top-of-the-line", 240-ci V8, painted metal engine cover and footsteps, chromed rearview mirrors, twin-color scheme, cloth-trimmed roof

Models are presented here as Sledgehammer Excelsior Tudor, Sledgehammer Executive Fordor and Powersleigh Elemental, respectively.
