Long-range communications and surveillance vessel. Though completely unarmed, the Anansi's exhaustive sensor apparatus allow it to provide invaluable telemetry for coordinating ship movements across uncharted or contested territories.

Been bouncing WIPs around for a while now. Figured I should just knuckle down and push something out.

This is definitely one of my favorite sleek spaceships in a while! Excellent angles and shaping!

@Abel For this model, I used point lights and suns to create the desired ambient lighting and shadows, and then added the final background/touch-ups in GIMP.

Since I wasn't using an HDRI, I deleted the Environment Texture/Background/World nodes that Mecabricks gives you. I also struggled with fireflies on my first couple passes, but managed to eventually eliminate them by fiddling with the Clamp Direct/Indirect and Filter Glossy parameters.

Bear in mind, I'm no Blender guru, and this was only my first attempt at a space render, so my method's certainly not perfect and there's probably a much better approach waiting to be found.

Was the name based off of the African character "Anansi?"
