The seventh model from my series The LEGO Houses of Amsterdam! This one is based on a real house on the north entrance of the Singel canal. This originally is a café. I came across this building on a little scout on Google Maps and wanted to build it really badly.

As soon as I started building, I realised that I had to go wider to keep the proportions of the original. There was not a single part of the other models that I could repurpose for this one. The hardest part was figuring out a way of getting the gable to have the right shape and finding a way of creating the black windows in the middle of the building. In the end, I settled for a funky use of brackets.
