This set no. 60020 'Cargo Truck' came out in 2013 as part of the CITY's "Cargo" subtheme.
Within CITY, it was only a second generation of "Cargo," following the debut 2008 line-up. However, LEGO first used a similar logo as early as the mid-1980s—occasionally featured on freight boats, trains, and cargo containers. The series never got an official name (unlike, for instance, Octan) and went on a lengthy hiatus after 1995. (See a timeline on Mecabricks below.)
The 'Cargo Truck' was a direct successor to one of the 2008 "Cargo" sets, a 'Truck & Forklift,' but with notable changes in every item of the build:
>>FORKLIFT
Generally very similar to the 2008 model, an upgraded Forklift became slicker, with a driver now protected by a one-piece 6x4x3⅓ Roll Cage (part #64450 introduced in 2009, hence unavailable for the "Cargo" 1st-gen build.) The cabin also incorporated a mini antenna as the forklift control, in addition to a steering wheel.
The forklift assembly in the 'Cargo Truck'—a Vertical Hinge Plate #4518c + Reinforced Wide Forks #45707b—was a third-generation (2013-2018), which utilized a rubber belt (instead of a metal spring). Sadly, all these molds are missing on Mecabricks.
>>FLATBED TRUCK
The truck, essentially, shared modular three-axle chassis with a fleet of CITY service vehicles introduced in 2013: Cement Mixer, Octan Tanker Truck, Garbage Truck, etc. Like the 2008 car, the new Cargo Truck had a driver's cabin mounted on a 6x6 plate. However, the expanded flatbed now carried a slightly longer, 6x16 detachable container.
Without a Trailer, the 2013 "Cargo" model transports fewer goods, with two 4x6 pallets carrying fuel tanks and a V4 engine.
>>MINIFIGURES
The expanded crew featured two minifigures in the Truck, male and female, in a blue overalls uniform and red hats. The forklift driver came with a brand-new headgear: a curved hat (part #11303) with attachable headphones (#14045); both just debuted in 2013.
The accessories included a walkie-talkie, a coffee mug in the Truck's cabin, and a standard hand cart.
