Hello everyone!
This time I tried to construct an Alouette III.
The Alouette class includes 3 models of rotorcrafts build by the french aviation company Sud Aviation. With over 2,000 rotorcrafts built up to this day, the Alouette III in particular is one of the most successfull rotorcrafts in aviation history.
This class is (due to its low production cost and low weight which allows it to e.g. land safely on glaciers), used for all over Europe for mountain rescue service and law enforcement.
The Alouette III is also the first out of the Alouette class that has a cladding on its tail boom. The precursors Alouette I and II both had uncladded struts as tail booms and thereby kind of looked like flying scarecrows.
But, as every of the Alouette Class, these helicopters are not only cheap and light, but are also very simple to equip and customize for different operations, which makes them even more desirable for european governments and organisations worldwide.
I gotta say, this one did not turn out that well, so I'll probably improve the design soon.
If you want to help me do that, feel free to submit ideas for a better construction of the cockpit exterior.
