also, RBC, can I introduce you to Lax from an outsiders perspective?
*clears throat*
fact 1: he is one of the most popular users on Mecabricks right now, almost every user has heard of him and talked to him, possibly because of fact 3.
fact 2: he stands up for others, even if not very close to them, I reference the tragedy of Macaroni.
fact 3: he sees every model, even if it came out 13 seconds ago and likes them immediately. he also usually comments words of praise too! I quote, "I have eyes everywhere, you know."
1: I remember on the forum, us talking about us being part monster, and you saying something along those lines.
andif you don't believe me, 2: I never said I was quoting YOU
@Lax_swag: Believe it or not, I solely introduced Guitarman to this site (with PMs and LEGO Ideas comments to prove it). He wouldn't be here otherwise. He was building these Kodak spaceships on Lego Ideas, and I convinced him to start using Mecabricks over Stud.io.
And I guess you guys are thankful for that
But I would argue that of the ten founders, (and if you haven't heard that term on here before, it was actually one of the most common references to me, Phantom and the rest of the OGs that I didn't make up. I think AB78 made it up when a newer generation started to surface about 2 years or so ago.), I would say that Phantom is possibly the most important.
If you haven't noticed, all but one of the original 10 dudes has left after and because me and Phantom left. Calc alone tried to come back, but it isn't the same for him. I still keep up with him and a few of the others on different sites.
And without Phantom, I would never have found this site. Without Phantom, the massive Mecabricks Discords wouldn't have been made. When me and Phantom left, the Mecabricks Discord was deleted because everyone agreed it wasn't the same. I am not overestimating my importance at all, I'm just stating truths. Also, without Phantom, I wouldn't have my Youtube channel -- one of the few surviving MB youtube channels to date (there were nearly 100 when MB was more popular, but again, it died down when we left). Me and Phantom recruited nearly 300 people to this site, some of which are extremely popular and well-known like TheGecko and Guitarman and InterBrick and such, others you probably haven't heard of. I can go on and on forever on how much Phantom has done. Not just because he is my brother, but because me, him, and a few others of the 10 "founders" (I love that term lol) have done so much to get this site popular. Every single thing you have on this site today was influenced by us, or done for us. Custom prints, free renders, the ability to change colors on parts, advanced rendering (so many things in advanced rendering), custom parts, even things that you probably didn't even consider like party models and stories were created by us. And I know, parties and story series are a thing that any one could do or think up. But still, it is so, so many things that we set in the same shape and form that you use to this day.
I love this site so much, and miss it. I miss the other founders most of all -- we've went our separate ways now, but I still miss the time spent on MB, Discord and Ideas and such.
Again, I am not in any way at all trying to brag or assert dominance or whatever, but still. You can't understand how important some of these people were unless you were there .
