The T-65XJ - 2 was meant to serve as a line model of the XJ-1, which provided an overall increase in system capability compared to the stock T-65 but suffered from high cost, maintenance issues and limited production runs. While slightly under-performing compared to the XJ-1 in raw speed and firepower, the XJ-2 was markedly easier to maintain and field, and many design qualities, such as the sensors & targeting systemsof the XJ-2 would make it into the much more successful XJ-3.

The craft above is an older vehicle, currently painted in Galactic Federation colours, but possessing the Gravitic Modulator in place of a third torpedo tube that implies a Stealth-X refit.

I love the engines. I designed an XJ-5 concept years ago that was on Moc Pages before they bit the dust. Love the XJs and love what you did with the XJ-2. Good work.

@FellSkyhawk Thanks very much! I'm glad you approve of the engines, as I've found a rework there can change the whole character of an X-wing.
My original intent was to model a Stealth-X, which was a Jedi Starfighter variant of the XJ series, but that ship came with a camouflage scheme that I didn't trust myself to pull off properly.
