Shuma Gorath will probably show up later in the MCU as a main antagonist rather than a meager street demon

@Cole08 ye, when leaks came everyone was all oh Shuma Gorath in the movie that's cool. But Gargantos, while part of the same family, is a Namor the Sub-Mariner villain. So we have a link to him once more in the MCU. According to rumors (if I may) Gargantos here is under the control of another being. Shuma Gorath is the leader of his kind so I do not think being under the control of any entity is justice to his character, and that's why they chose to go small with the interdimensional squid things

Cole08: Shuma-Gorath and Gargantos are two different characters. Marvel used Gargantos to avoid copyright problems.
