Here's another Cars 3 character: Cal Weathers, Piston Cup racer and nephew of the legendary Strip "The King" Weathers. This one was a lot easier to design the decorations for than Bobby Swift, who has that complicated "Octane Gain" logo. Still, it provided a challenge, and I'm really happy with the final result. A shortcut that you may or may not notice is that the windshield is just a recolored version of the one I made for Chick Hicks. Call me lazy, but I think it works here.

Didn't notice the windshield was a recolor. Possibly because of his overall face.

This looks great! I love Cal's design, he, IMO, was the best-looking of McQueen's generation of races.

Thanks! I'm glad I was able to capture the look from the movie.

Just a question: there's a little red arrow on the left side of Cal. What is that?

I'm pretty sure that's an indicator used on race cars to show where to set the jack to lift the car for tire changes. Not sure why it would need to exist in the "Cars" universe, but it was there in the movie.

I'll add him in also! Great work!

How would a car have a nephew?

I dunno, and I don't want to know.

I'm still trying to figure out who makes all the conveniently-placed buttons that the cars always use. XD
