==MISSING PARTS==
The build is ~96+% accurate, even most of the minifigs. There are 117 extra parts on the inventory because I included four MOC assemblies to replace the most prominent missing elements. These alterations are, all grouped together:
[MOC] Angled Bricks (Terminal)
[MOC] Angular Top (Boarding Gate)
[MOC] Fuselage: Nose (both inside the Passenger Jet group)
[MOC] Fuselage: Aft

In 2006, when CITY replaced Classic Town as a new global urban theme, the existing 'City Airport' no. 10159 was way outdated! Even though it only came out two years prior, the model was a replica of a decade-old Classic Town set no. 6597 'Century Skyway' from 1994.
This time, Lego designers rebuilt the entire Airport from scratch, giving it a brand-new terminal plus a modern passenger jet. In my opinion, it was the last truly great Lego CITY Airport: the set no. 3182 'Airport' that followed in 2010 wasn't much of an improvement, and since then, Lego seemed to focus more on 'Space' when it comes to aeronautics.
The set no. 7894 'Airport' was a headliner in the accompanying collection, clocking at over 700 parts and five minifigures. The inventory was top-notch: a great variety of useful standard parts, some Technics bricks (incl. rare angled Bumper Holders), large transparent panels and canopies, and, obviously, two unique fuselage sections for the passenger jet.
On the first floor, there's a check-in zone: an airline registration stand, a security scanner, and a moving belt for the luggage. A staircase leads to the boarding gate on the second floor. There are flowers decorating the terminal, and a few resting areas for passengers. Like any typical Lego building, the Airport Terminal doesn't have a back wall; a large glass roof opens on two pegs for quick access from the front. Passengers enter through rotating glass doors.
Above the glass ceiling, on the elevated stands, there's a Nav Tower with a large radar dish, fully-equipped control room with binoculars, dashboards, computer terminal, etc.
The passenger jet has a similar design and modular structure to the 'Passenger Plane' no. 7893 I recently submitted, but it's a bit smaller. In the hollow fuselage, there are only two 6x10 modules: a single coach (for six passengers) and a pilot cabin combined with a tiny stewards' station. Two massive turbines are on a separate tail section, attached to the main hull with pegs.
