Master builder Kevin J. Walter has released his fantastic LEGO® #MOC of the Star Trek NCC-1701-A - U.S.S. #Enterprise.

We have a good brickerstellar relationship and he passed me the digital model for some upcoming renderings.

But nothing can beat the physical model. The instructions can be purchased here: https://www.brickvault.toys/products/u-s-s-enterprise

You can't put this on LEGO Ideas because Star Trek isn't licensed by TLG.

Hi Michael, your work is just amazing ! I have a quick question, I saw on the autodesk forum that you had posted an image rendered with arnold, I was wondering if you had created an arnold maya shader library equivalent to a blender, and if you think that you could share them? thank you so much

Hi fredus,

thanks for your kind words. I have not setup a full material library yet. Just the materials of my imported models. But I can send you a scene with an example to adapt. It wasn't very hard. I just adapted the Mecabricks Principled Shader settings of the Lite Addon to Arnold's aiStandardSurface Shader. Actually I am testing with Redshift. The render speed is fantastic.
