If you scale a little this model you can submit to Lego Ideas smiling face with open mouth and smiling eyes

Hi Zanna,

Thanks for the comment. Could you please tell me what do you mean by scaling and what is lego idea? I am very new to this whole "lego thing" (haven't touch any for about 20 years, started again for the first time 2 days ago for a french newspaper contest)

Awesome, thanks. What is the scaling you thought was necessary?

I don't know, you can do some tests. Consider that people would easily buy a model with 400-500 than a model with 2000 winking face

Oh, OK, now I get what you mean.

Yes, this is true and could be optimised. In the other hand, I am afraid this might be a bit "boring" to build. I use to like lego 20 years ago because it used to make me feel clever (create sompething super fun out of nothing, while building smething "3D" that took advantage of alol axis. This is just "monkey flip the switch", piling up blocks of the same color face with stuck-out tongue . I doubt it could appeal to anyone.

I am rerendering the image. I textured the hat so that it has Mario logo, reworked mario's top texture and fixed a rendering bug where the upper part of both technician took over mario's top texture winking face
