At first sight, this appears to be a broom mated to a set of venetian blinds and a toy motorbike. However, believe it or not, this is trying to be a plane. Designed by Horatio Phillips when no-one knew what aircraft should look like, this particular goof has 20 'wings'; one of Phillips' less eccentric variations. The ultimate hiccup, couresy of Phillips, was a TWO-HUNDRED WINGED AIRCRAFT that managed only just 240 feet of flight - a huge improvement on his 20 winged monster, which managed no flight. Phillips resigned from this silly experiment, however, others still saw potential from the multiplane concept.
