I don't know what got in to me. Of all the cool ships I could fixate on... the Shenzhou? Really? This build nearly defeated me many times. The curved bands that wrap around the saucer were a nightmare to figure out.

Still I have to admit that when I realized during Star Trek Discovery's first episode that the bridge was on the bottom of the saucer, I squealed a little unintentionally. AFAIK it's the first Star Trek ship to be designed that way. Feel free to correct me.

This is my first draft and I can't imagine it would go together in real life without imploding.

No the bridge is on the top of the saucer like any other Starfleet vessel, the bottom is used to observe during a planetary landing.
