Lego 7194 updated to remove the majority of the unique or rare parts, replacing them with more readily available alternatives. The aim has been to preserve as much of the original model and its construction techniques as possible. The old greys used on the original model have been updated to the newer light/dark bluish greys.

The head has been completely redesigned - it is visually identical to the original, but it uses a completely different selection of pieces drawn from the palette of sand green parts available from Lego in 2017. Not all of them are currently available from Lego bricks and pieces, but they should appear eventually. A few rare parts (1x2 plate with rail, 2x2 corner plate and 1x1 plate, all sand green) have been left, since it proved impossible to replace all of them.

The eyes are mounted using 93571 (which has never been made in white), this should ideally be replaced with 32174 if the model is to be built in real life.

The body is largely unchanged, except that the dark orange bricks have been replaced with more readily available bricks (mainly 1x2 and 1x6). To allow these changes, the model introduces a few extra structural parts (shown here in yellow). These are not visible from the outside and any available colour can be used; my preference is for dark bluish grey.

Disclaimer: This is a digital MOC/MOD of the 7194, and has not been tested in real life. While every effort has been made to ensure that the bricks would interlock securely, this may not always be the case and the final assembly may turn out to be very fragile.
