Hello! Steampunk Alfred here, in front of what could possibly be National Rail Network's smallest locomotive class. The 0100 class was a small group of 20 0-4-0WT locomotives, built for shunting duties. The locomotives actually had rather uneventful carreers, that is, untill no.0103 made the decision to explode. The explosion was caused when the crew had a tea-break and the driver was boiling the water for the brew on the boiler of 0103. He had screwed the safety valve down to get higher pressure and more heat to boil the water faster. The pressure got to a point that the boiler simply could not hold up and exploded. Fortunately, no-one was killed, but several were injured by the explosion, and 0103 was retired from service. Other than that, no real incidents occurred and the 0100s went on to serve National Rail Network for many years.
