AC-40 (131) model 137 is a fire tanker truck on the chassis of a ZIL-131 four-wheel drive truck. It is designed to deliver a combat crew of 7 people, fire equipment, water and a foaming agent to the fire site, as well as to extinguish a fire with water from a tank, an open tank or a water supply network, air-mechanical foam using a foaming agent brought or taken from an external tank. The most common type of fire truck on the territory of the former USSR, which can still be found in almost all cities and rural areas of the CIS. The silhouette of this particular car has become so recognizable that its stylized image is often used in fire paraphernalia or on fire propaganda posters.
