The T-14 Armata (Russian: Т-14 «Армата»; industrial designation "Ob'yekt 148", Russian: Объект 148) is a next-generation Russian main battle tank based on the Armata Universal Combat Platform—the first series-produced next-generation tank. The Russian Army initially planned to acquire 2,300 T-14s between 2015 and 2020.[15][16][17][18] Production and fiscal shortfalls delayed this to 2025,[19] and then to the cancellation of the main production run.[20] The test batch of 100 is to be delivered and deployed to the 2nd Guards Tamanskaya Motor Rifle Division, with delivery expected to begin in 2022;[21] tanks will be transferred only after the completion of all state tests.[22][23][24][25]

The Armata platform has been reported to cost 3.7 million dollars[3][4]. Despite many sources confirming this, most military experts weigh in, explaining how if the price was that low, Russia would be capable of affording it in mass numbers. This is not the case, as Russia has in numerous cases failed to get its T-14 tanks delivered. url=https://www.quora.com/I-keep-hearing-that-T-14-armata-is-too-expensive-for-the-Russians-How-much-more-expensive-is-it-than-the-T-90 Many Speculate that the tank costs over $10 million a unit, comparable to many 4th generation MBT's, and remote turret tanks.
