The build is 98% exact; only 'Unitron' minifig parts are missing.

It's funny how memory works: I already built dozens of the 90s Lego models on Mecabricks, often researching them and always looking at relevant catalog pages, but it was still challenging to recall which sets I actually owned in my childhood, for some reason.
Not until I downloaded a complete 1996 Lego catalog and read it cover to cover. BOOM! Suddenly, looking at these overly enthusiastic and idealized family pictures between the actual sets, intro texts—everything felt in place.
This tiny supplemental set no. 6705 'Space Explorers,' known in the UK as 'Commander Bear and the Spyrians,' came out in 1994 and contained just five minifigures with accessories, no other parts (not even an instruction leaflet). It represented all the new Space "factions" that Lego introduced in 1994: civilian Ice Planet, malicious Spyrius, and the latest intergalactic law enforcement, Unitron.
Ironically, the one minifigure that's missing here on Mecabricks, Unitron Chief, is the only one I barely remember as a kid. Maybe it got lost or misplaced early, because the rest of the figurines, and their decals, I definitely had in my Lego stash for many years. Spyrius Droid is still perhaps my all-time favorite Lego minifigure.
