Whenever I add a printed piece with a transparent color, say, a Star Wars cockpit element, the piece becomes completely opaque. When adding the same piece with no printing, the transparency is completely fine.

This is a known issue with old transparent decorated elements. It is fixed when parts are converted to new system. However there are 1000s to convert and it will take years.

Oh geez, I wasn't aware of that. Take your time!
